What's Been Going On?

So we are finally updating the blog! Yes, this is very exciting. We have both been super busy lately finishing up school and going to Flash basketball games quite frequently. But we are finally done with all the school work/tests and ready for Christmas break! So here are a couple neat things we have done/got recently.
1. We spend time together
(even though we have been really busy we still found time to be together. We hit up the movies a couple times and saw Lake View Terrace and Ghost Town. Milkduds are my favorite movie candy and during the movie I picked up the box to grab one and I somehow managed to drop the box and spill all but 6 milkduds on the floor:(. It was a sad moment.)
2. We got a TV
(we went out on thanksgiving and got ourselves a little present)
3.Eric and Charles are bonding.
(They watch TV and do homework together)

4. Snow Snow Snow
(This past week we have gotten so much snow...it's pretty but sure is cold and hard to drive in)
*not our photo but we thought it looked good

5. Car Rides
(we had to leave the house for a few hours to get it sprayed so Charles got to go with us. He was meowing like crazy but after a while he was really enjoying it)

"Thunder" Dancer

Alisha auditioned for the dance team for the new pro arena football team in Utah Valley last week and made the team! It was 3 long days of tryouts but well worth it!

Halloween with Charles

This Halloween Charles was the only one of us that dressed up and he is ADORABLE! I got him this cute little pumpkin costume. Surprisingly he was very calm about me putting it on him. He didn't like it very much though. He had the look of misery on his face but we had a good laugh watching him run around as a little pumpkin. But then he got smart and learned how to take it all off...sad. Anyways for Halloween we had dinner and watched a scary movie with some friends of ours. It was great. We also got a huge Halloween basket from my parents that provided us with all the candy and scary toys we need...Thanks!

Trip to Bear Lake!

After a rough couple of weeks at school, Alisha and I decided to get out of town for the weekend. We went to Bear Lake on the Utah-Idaho border. It was the first time I had been north of Layton, UT and I realized there was more to Utah than Provo/Orem. When we arrived, we were both pleased with the weather which was quite warm. the timeshare we stayed at was really nice, and it was nice to be pampered for 2 days. I didn't realize how close we were to Idaho, and when we went for a drive around the lake and saw the "Welcome to Idaho" sign, we had to take a picture. It was a nice weekend away, and I watched quite a bit of college football on Saturday. Hopefully one day we will have a boat and have a blast on the lake.

Eric's 25th Birthday!

Eric's Birthday was on October 3rd and he is now the big 25! Poor Eric had to do homework most of the day but I still tried to spoil him as much as I could. I got him some new clothes and shoes and a new Zune. We spent about 2 hours that night learning how to work the Zune correctly. Me and Charles made him a birthday brownie instead of a cake since he isn't a real cake lover.

p.s. Eric loved all the cards and money he got from the family!

Meet Charles!

We got a CAT! So Eric and I decided to get a little something to hang around the house and entertain us. So we got Charles! We got him when he was about 9 weeks old. He was just a tiny kitten and he was throwing a fit the entire ride home. The first few days we had him he would just hide from us but after that he got a lot more comfortable. It was so sad though because for about the first month and a half whenever we left he would hide in-between a chair and the couch and he would stay there until we came home. But now he has no more fear...he is always all over the place making havoc :)

In case you haven't met Charles he is a very big talker. Charles meows constantly. It is so funny sometimes because we say things to him and he always replies with a meow...HaHa! But Charles is our favorite. It is kind of ridiculous that we treat him like our child and spoil him a little too much but we love him!

Charles's Favorite Things:
-Looking out the window
-Playing with his ball
-Sitting on the porch
-Laying on the top bunkbed
-Drinking out of the toilet
-Snuggling at 6a.m.
-Talking(hence meowing)
-Roughhousing with Eric
-Sitting on the computer

Moving In

First of all it is way fun to live together! We have our first little house together here in Provo Utah. Its a two bedroom duplex just a block south of BYU campus. We were eating dinner on the floor for about a week because we were still trying to get furniture. Dinner probably wasn't that great at first while I was learning how to use a gas stove but Eric is a champ and always eats whatever I give him :) But life is great and we love it here! When we moved in our front room was painted red. Now this can look good except for the people that painted it just did one streaky coat of bright red paint. You could see all the roller marks and some places were darker than others...haha! We enjoyed it for a while just pretending that it gave the house an artsy look but a couple weeks Eric painted the front room! Now it is a beautiful off white color that brightens up the whole place. He did such a good job! We also moved out some furniture because we had two couches and two large chairs in the front room since the previous tenants left there stuff and we brought our own. But now we have taken over and the place looks like our own! And more good news. After a little over two months of living here we finally figured out how to make the garbage disposal work...haha...the switch was hidden under the sink and one of Eric's friends found it. That was such a good day!

Our Honeymoon in Mexico!

For our honeymoon we went to beautiful Mexico! We were in a small town about 60 miles past Cancun and we stayed at the RIU Palace(on left). It was amazing. The entire place was built like a huge mansion/castle. I felt like I was in Beauty and the Beast. We had the most relaxing and romantic time there. It was the kind of place that has everything you need. We really never had to leave if we didn't want to. They had several
different pools, that were only about 10 feet apart from the beach that had the most warm water ever. There were shows and performances every night. We were constantly being served drinks whether we were sitting in the lobby listening to the piano player or sitting in the pool on sun beds that half immerse you in water. The resort was all-inclusive which I highly recommend so you never have to worry about food :) The resort had specialty restaurants that would serve full 4 course meals. The room was large with a nice King bed, a romantic balcony and a jetted bath. Oh yeah, we also had all the room service we wanted. this was seriously a dream vacation.
For one of our days we took an excursion to Mayan ruins to see Chichenitza one of the seven wonders of the world. It was amazing to see things that the Mayans have built. After that they took us to lunch and then to a natural water spring in the jungle. We got to swim in it and they had cliffs that you could dive from. I was to scared to do it so I just watched Eric do it(he's brave) :).
Needless to say our honeymoon was amazing! It was really nice to be spoiled for a while!

Our Wedding!

We sent this out as our Thank You card

(Our room at the Pan Pacific)

We got married on June 13, 2008 in Seattle. Seriously this was the best day ever for both of us. We had a classy black and white theme going on. We got married in the Seattle temple and we had a reception at the Kitsap Conference Center in Bremerton, WA. BTW, I highly recommend that place for a reception. It is beautiful, right on the water and there is one wall that is all glass windows looking out at the water. Anyways we did have a little mishap getting to our reception. We missed the ferry and ended up being two hours late to our reception(I think it's funny now). Everyone else waiting for the ferry got a great show though because they got to see a frantic bride running around the ferry lines trying to convince them to let us on the ferry but it didn't work. However we did eventually make it to the reception. When it was time for us to leave we got a really neat surprise. There was a beautiful white limo waiting for us outside which took us to the Pan Pacific Hotel in downtown Seattle. We had a perfect view of the space needle outside our wall sized windows and had every luxury available in the room. This was such an amazing day. Everything was so beautiful. We were so lucky to have all of our family there and so many of our friends make the trip to Seattle for us! We are so happy to be married!

Here are some of our wedding photos. Our photographer was Tom Ellis in Seattle and he was just chosen as a top Knot pic for the Knot.com and Knot Magazine. So check him out if you need a Seattle photographer. He was top notch! http://www.tomellisphoto.com/
